Red face Plz help me with my Problem!!

Hey guys, 2 weeks ago, i purchased a HSP XSTR witht he brushed motor. It stopped working, took it down to the hobby shop and i ended up upgrading to a brushless systsem. The hobbywing EZrun justock 3650 17t and xr10 esc combo. It runs so much better, but i feel it could be faster. I was wondering what gearing i could change to get a better top speed for the dirt track. Its currently running a stock 64t spur and a 23t pinion. I what gears should i go for. PS also running a 3s lipo.

Thanks guys

Not heard of that car. But upgrading to a HobbyWing system....good choice. Here's what you need to determine the best gearing: Get an Infra-Red "no-touch" thermometer. It is essential just like nut drivers and hex drivers. It's the only way to determine the best gearing. You don't want a brushless motor to run over 180F. You risk de-magnetizing the magnets or melting winding insulation. Geared properly, it should run between 130-140F.

I run 22/83t on my Firestorm and 3S.. Its uncontrolable.
Either ways, go 2 teeth higher on the pinion or find a smaller spur gear. Keep an eye on the batt/motor/esc temp.
