Bigger pinion…what will get hot?
Plan to put a bigger pinion gear on my arrma
its a brushed motor, i guess the motor will run hotter…but what about the esc?
im all new to This ..help me out folks
its an arrma 4x4 mega brushed
it has a 14t pinion now. I would love abit more speed
only going for a 16t upgrade
plan to run it at a small track with some jump and stuff
is it wise?

if you're running out of gear (hitting top speed) before the end of the straights go ahead and up it a couple teeth, see what happens. as long as the motor and ESC temps stay in the safe zone it'll be fine. there is a trade off though, you'll loose some acceleration.
