tamiya connectors have too much resistance. are you using matched batteries or stick packs. if ur using stick packs, there won't be too much difference when if switch. if you race, then don't use the tamiya connectors. better yet, don't buy any connectors and hard wire them.

RE: Deans connecters, which? why?
Here is one reason,
About two weeks after switching to a low turn motor my Tamiya plugs melted together do to the increased amp draw on the battery and the arcing between the loose posts on a tamiya plug.
Needless to say I switched right then and there to Dean's and have been very happy ever since.
Get the regular power plugs. You need male connectors for your ESC and your charger and female plugs for your batteries. you can get the female plugs in packs of 4.

RE: Deans connecters, which? why?
Yea, I have really never used the crappy Tamiya Connectors. I use the Duratrax Powerpole Connectors for my Battery to ESC, and I use Deans Ultra Plug Connectors from my ESC to my Motor. The Duratrax Powerpole connectors are easier to make (not that dean's are hard, but these are even easier) and they connect and detach easier. I just hate stuck dean's plugs. And there is really no resistance difference between the Deans Plugs and the Powerpole Plugs. I attached a pic so you can see what the Powerpole connectors look like and how I have done it in my car.

RE: Deans connecters, which? why?
I'm getting Deans connectors for my evader because I toasted the tamyia ones so I need to switch, I also noticed in my batteries and esc that the plugs inside it become loose and it's hard to connect them. Also the bullet connectors and tamyia plugs have a lot of resistance so you decrease your runtime and you can overheat your motor. That's why I'm switching to deans. The power pole connectors seem pretty good too. YOu cna buy everyting you need in deans for like 8 bucks on tower hobbies so try those. Hope this helps
