Default will the rims fit?

Ive got HPI BBS style rims for my HPI Dash and I was wondering if they would fit any of the Tamiya model cars. very nice x pattern tires and sweet lookin rims. i think theyre smaller than the stock tires(havent gotten the car yet) and wouldnt that help the car go a little faster?

Default RE: will the rims fit?

If you're car uses the hex type hubs it will work. I have a HPI RS4 and got some tamiya rims for it. HPI tires fit on them on them fine. The main difference is the Tamiya's have a 2-3mm offset on the wheel, so an HPI rim might be inside the body a little bit on youre Tamiya chassis. I had a problem with the wheels sticking out abit on my RS4. Narrower wheels will make it go faster because there is less tire friction. This will make it slower through the corners though. Its a trade off, they should be good for straight tracks.

awesome...all i really do is run straight and the hubs are a hex pattern. would the offset be a problem for a buggy? seein how the body tapers down in front and all.

Its a very slight offset only noticable when you use a body, plus the rims you have are narrow so that will split the difference on the inside clearence.
