ok, i have a question on the hummer bodies. are they durable? how are they compared to stock.. thanks. that darn vxl is just huge.. it doesn't even really fit good under the stock body.

i mean, just look. and that back body mount is raised up too

aircruiser - is that a maxx sized body? i havent seen a ram body specifically for the pede before. did you extend your chassis?
i think so..i think its a parma..which is odd because ive had three of these rams and only one has cracked and that was in an area where i had tried to use carb cleaner to get some paint off. the wheel base doesnt line up, but for a body that wasnt meant for the truck, it fits pretty good! i might just build a cage under the body and mount the body on the cage..we'll see how that goes. my truck is usually on all 4 tires though so i havent really tested the durability of all my bodies...

that is the stock chassis btw. i did extend my chassis awhile back to fit an hpi jeep rubicon, but now its back to stock.

yeah i know. thats one of the reasons i wanted to convert to a rustler. you can put it down in the chassis. it really is wayy to big. i actually have never driven my hummer body. i painted it almost a year ago for my nitro pede. and right when i finished, my truck broke... and i just havent had the money to fix it with my revo and dark impact(racers... they come first) i have a hummer body for my revo and it was real durable. pro-line makes great stuff. the corners of the cab will crack if you land hard on the roof. but then again that was on a revo... from 8 feet up... in 40 degrees temps... with frozen ground.. haha. on the most part they are durable. they can handle a pede. no matter how bad the driver is. i will get some pictures up later tonight.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRS29&P=0 - white

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRS33&P=0 - blue

those are all laquer paints. work well. ive used tamiya and it works well. but you have to be real light on your coats otherwise it runs....

here are some polycarb paints. ive used these too and like them

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCY14&P=0 - white

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXCY15&P=0 - blue

just go through and look for spray cans in either the polycarb or the laquer paints. both work well on lexan bodys. you paint before? if not ill give you some light pointers.

well if you scuff the body right, then the paint wont chip. if you dont scuff it, then the paint will chip and peel in a hard wreck. both work fine. polycarb tends to take a few more coats to me. but doesnt seem to run as much.

for painting. the most important thing is prep. what you should do. is get some real fine sand paper. something like 1000 grit paper. and very very very lightly sand the inside of the body. if you do it too much it can mess up the paint. but extremely light scuff is good. avoid the windows cause they wont be painted and if you scuff them then they look like crap... after this
WASH IT! use warm, not hot, but warm water and dishwashing or hand soap. rub the body thoroughly. afterwards, whipe it down with a dry clean and smooth cloth. or lightly with a paper towel. afterwards you can use a hair dryer to dry it a little more. let it sit, inside down so it doesnt get dust or anythign in it for a while till its completely dry. then mask it and paint. always put window masks on first though.

ok, so i should probbibly order the polycarb? will that be enough to do the whole body? i was thinking of doing a blue then a fade to white. so half and half. i can figure out the good tricks once the stuff is ordered. right now, i just need to get my order in tho. that scuff trick is probbibly why my past bodies have chipped good to know this stuff before i start painting.

Why does a SxS pack give longer runtime and more power/speed? Please help (I'm getting new batteries soon).

Thanks.

i think it's because the power can transfer better between the cells and allow less resistance. not completely sure though..

best of luck!

Someone told me that it cuts out after 1 hour. that would be 4000mAh. It's 4500mAh.

Edit: Sorry I ment the battery is 4500mAh not the cut off.

I'm thinking of [link=http://www.all-battery.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1894]this[/link] one. Does anyone know if that peaks before 4000mAh or not? My concern is that with the twin-peak it may only charge it to 4000mAh instead of 4200.
