RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
Yes, it will handle them fine. However, you will need to monitor the pack voltage and stop running before the voltage drops below the critical point. If you stop running when the voltage sinks to 7v unloaded, you should be fine. This is the way we had to do it before lipo compatible ESCs came out. Also, make sure the packs you are using can handle at least 40 amps with bursts to 60 amps to give yourself some headroom (this is assuming you're using a mild brushed motor like the stock Titan).

Please, oh please!! Don't get venom packs!!!!! They are very low quality and performance and runtime won't get too far. I'd atleast get some gp3300's, ener-g's, or maybe something from cbp.

Ener-g packs are the highest quality. Get them from spc. More choices can be found at cheapbatterypacks.com. They let you build your own, using your selection of cells, configuration, etc.

My son has a Radio Shack 3300 pack that is AWESOME with the stock set up. We are getting him a brushless esc/ motor combo though and I am sure it will be a little wimp battery after that. What are some good NIMH batteries?
Thanks.
Thanks.

lol there are a lot of flaws in brushed systems if you ask me. They are slower, dont last as long, less lifetime on a battery, brushes need maitinence, a lot more things i can think of. But the bottom line is, you need brushless lol.

RE: OFFICAL PEDE THREAD
I just got mine, and love it, I got mine for only 80 bucks, because I work at a hobby shop lol even though I ran into a porch yesterday and broke my front bulkhead and shock end, but thats because I was going full speed and its 20 degrees out. But its only 6 bucks for both parts, thats another reason I like it cheap stock parts and tons of upgrades.

Jato half shafts work great for me. Strong and never have a problem after a couple months with 3s. You might have to drill out the holes slightly though to get them to fit.
