Default Need some suggestions

Haven't been into the RC thing for awhile, so i need your suggestions on what kind of things to look at. Any good web sites, prices, info, builds,... , things that could help me, but you guys experience is just as valuable.

I dont know exactly what i want to do, just have a few ideas floating around in my head. I know for sure i would like a Hacker brushless motor with some sort of on-road chassis. It wont be raced, just looking for a fast toy. I've been looking at HPI as i used to have a Sport 2 and liked it. The pro 4 is not for me, i'm looking for something that'll support the hacker power, maybe a older pro 2 or 3?. Not too concerned with crazy suspension stuff, basicly i just want to go fast. I'll spend the money on the motor/ESC/Batteries.

What would you guys suggest? motor size? chassis? ESC? batteries? reciever? servos?....

I just want to get your ideas, search/research, and get a plan going on as to what i want to do.

Thanks for any suggestions.

welcome to the board. so i would maybe wait till everyone is awake on the board. speed munkey, a racer, his hobby shop(LHS) has a xxx-s roller that needs a motor, electronics, radio gear and servo, and belts for 30 bux. dont miss that deal if you plan on getting a xxx-s. for 30 dollars i would buy it, but i have to buy another car.

look in, "another munkey deal" for info.

How does this look? This is something i had in mind, something pretty much ready to go, swap the motor/esc out. Then replace stuff as it breaks...
