Novak RMF any good?
I've been looking at buying a novak brushless system and I was wondering which one would be best for my RC10T4 the 4300 or 5800? Also has anyone bought a http://www.shopatron.com/product/pro...0.7565.0.0.0.0 RMF it's $164.99 compared to $224.99 so seems like a good deal or is it?

That just means it remanufactured... A new novak system is coming out in July, you may want to wait for that.... If not, the Novak can be had for about $130-150 used either on ebay or rctech.net if you look hard enough....

The RMF brushless systems seem to be just fine. They carry the same warranty as a new system. I have used the RMF ss5800 system for about 3 weeks now and have had no problems. It looked almost new when I got it, just a bit of scuffing near the rotor.

teamnovak.com
Also to add to this 'new brushless thing' i've heared there starting from scratch again, and building a Shpere/Neo beater. That sould be pretty awsome!

The GTB is going to supprt 5, 6, and 7 "turn" brushless motors, as well as brush motors with no limit. It's got all the programability of the SS+, as well.. Yeah, that's a no brainer purchase for myself..

Exactly. All these guys that run "real" brushless systems brag about "oh, my XXXXXXXX9000 can take 42 cells!" Well how in the heck are you going to fit 42 cells into a tray designed to hold up to 7? There suspension geometry only works right with the battery in that little tray. Otherwise, your CG goes way up. 6c is all that ROAR allows, and that's why Novak made it that way.

Well I dont need a 42 cell ESC, 7 or 8 is what im looking for.
I dont think ill be buying any novaks for a while anyways. While using either of mine I have range and glitching problems, neither of which happens with my tekin G10.

Probobly not.
I wouldnt try it anyways cause it would most likely void the waranty, then youll be stuck with a little pile of melted orange plastic [X(].

Back to the old glitching problem... *sigh* its because its a brushless motor and runs at higher amps than brushed motors, thats why your not seeing the glitching with your tekin (by the way nice esc!)

RE: Novak RMF any good?
No no, Im running brushed, I dont have anything brushless yet.
Ive got a novak dually, and an older novak model (duster sport 2 or something like that). With both of them I only get about 150 feet of range at my house, then it just goes all screwy glitching and sputtering around, sometimes takes off WOT, just goes nuts.
With the tekin ESC none of that happens.
