Hey Wes, check out Robinson, I know for a fact that they have some above 90T.

You may run into some clearance issues with anything above a 92.

I recently set my brother's 5800 up in his pede with 14/92, and the spur was a Robinson. The 92 just barely fit inside the case, and the dust cover makes the fit even tighter, but the 92 did fit, -barely.

You'll have to tighten the snot out of the slipper though, because the Robinson spurs only have 6 slipper peg holes. No biggie.

Hope this helps.

traxxas says to run 6 slipper pegs, even tho the spurs have 12 holes.

Say, are slipper pegs really important? I am running my RC10 with no slipper balls/pegs with no immediate problems. [X(]

LOL - yes, without the slipper pegs, there is nothing for the slipper to slip on BUT your spur gear...i personally would rather buy a bag of 20 slipper pegs for 2 bucks then a new 6 dollar spur gear.

I just went through 2 sets on the spur gear,I had it set loose for runnin on sand so tires wouldn't bury themselves, but I would also rather replace the slipper pegs than a spur.I'd imagine you would probably tear something else up as well with all the heat from friction.

In regards to slipper clutches in general, I personally don't race, so I don't need to "tune" using the slipper clutches.

I always run mine tight, -in fact I removed the coil spring and substituted the spring with another gear spacer hub (the round thing with the hex in the middle of it).

I run both of my stampedes with this setup, as well as my modded t-maxx.

As a matter of fact, the t-maxx slipper has actually undergone a pretty serious modification, -I drilled the clutch plates and installed screws through the plates.

I look at it this way, -I didn't pay big money for big power to have it pissed-away with a "slipper" clutch.

I want that power to the ground baby, -and if it means an occasional broken part, -so be it.

So, the moral of this (or my opinion), is that if you run the thing tight enough so that it doesn't slip, then you're probably not going to burn anything up or melt anything.

But, allow it to slip, and it will surely require periodic maintenance.
