My new body
Well I just finished my first 1/10 scale electric on road car body. Its a Saleen body on a Tamiya TT-01 car. I really think it came out great, but I allready smashed it into the wall at the local oval track [:@] Oh well!! thanks for your thought and opinions!

Thanks man. The Carbon Fiber hood, trunk and roof scoop came out great too. Its too bad HPI cant do inner decals instead of exterior ones.

RE: My new body
well now that i look at it it does look like a buggy-the axis- so i looked up the duratax axis on towerhobbies and i didn't see the actual axis but i saw parts for it and look at these! i found some anodized alluminum chassis in different colors and they r 3mm thick for just $32.99! - i wish i was an axis owner-just click on em and read the features and also go to the next page (for the site idiots just go to the bottom of the page and click NEXT PAGEnow that isn't so hard huh) so anyway flip the page and there are alluminum shock towers for only like $9.29... these are just stock replacements but they are ALLUMINUM stock replacements! RE: My new body
Don't get you're panties in a wad, the Axis is a mid-level beginners nitro buggy. Matter of fact, I have a .21 OS engine thats gonna get dropped in inplace of the tempermental Torq .21 motor. Jakjr, I used the inner lining of a swimsuit for the carbon fiber on the 1/10 scale and I used drawer liner for the 1/8 scale. Lay down the liner and shoot the gray, blow dry the paint, apply solid black backing. PERFECT effect.
Thanks for the comments fellas!!

RE: My new body
LOL thats funny, Thanks. I've driven the hell out of it and attempted to race it the other day but with a fuel leak and a following break of the one-way bearing, I never had a chance. However, I ran it on an open day at the track and a Hyper PCR ran with me and the driver was amazed how I could hang with his $800 buggy vs. my $200 ishbox. Its a great basher if you can get the thing started. Thats why I got a new motor....
Oh and why I got into 1/10 scale electric. You gotta love the on/off switch!!!!
