When it crawles around sucking the brains out of other diffs.

Once it starts slipping even after retightening it, it's dead.

Some times you can bring one back to life by fliping the diff rings (washers) over, but I've found that in most cases it's worn diff balls that are the cause of the slipping.

The RC no longer moves in a forward or reverse motion, you press the throttle and it makes funny noises lol

or when the entire inside of the diff gear is gone, and is just a ring with teeth.

I have had that happen to Evader diff gears before.

The diff balls got hot and melted the inner part of the diff gear, then apperently it just twisted apart from the outer ring with the teeth.

hi doahh,

From a racing point of view as soon as the diff gains a gritty feel, most of the times the diffs can be revived with some cleaner and fresh grease,
If the diff still feels bad i would look at the thrust washers as these are normally the first things to die, if they look bad flip them over and use them again, also check the diff rings as they are next in the chain to fail, if they look fairly damaged flip them over and re use,

Tom

Keep it tight, slipping causes heat which melts your diff gear.
