Let it buffer the whole vid so it is not choppy.[8D]

Just got an ST Pro a few weeks ago and doesn't seem to have speed I thought and hoped it would. I think my batteries may be the part of the problem. I have some matched 3300 cells I am getting ready to make into a pack. This should help. But i was wondering if there is a better gear setup I should use. I am currently running stock, which is 18/88. I race on a small dirt track with small jumps. I just don't seem to have the speed in the straight.

I am also hearing a grinding sound coming from the tranny, I was told to change the balls out to carbide balls. Is this a good recommendation?

I also switched the 15t motor out to a 27t but that made it even slower.

Any help would be awesome and greater appreciated.

Make sure you have Deans Connectors and your motor wires hardwired. Also open up the tranny case to make sure nothing is stripped. If you have the SV2 motor in it then you shouldn't have gotten a 27 turn as the SV2 is decent.

Another question. My shocks seem to leak oil pretty easily, even after having it for only a few weeks now. One shock was totally emtpy. Has anyone else had this problem? Are there better shocks that I can change to?

Also, any suggestions on springs and shock oil for racing on a small track?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem with the front shocks. Somebody recommended replacing the seals with these

Hey guys, why does my servo make a high pitched noise every now and again? Does something need to be adjusted? I have noticed it with every servo I had. I just bought a metal gear one, so I don't want it to mess up.

I'm having another problem. I was adjusting the differential and the slipper clutches on my trucks per the instructions earlier in this thread and the manual. One of them is fine but the slipper clutch on the other won't grab at all. I tightened the nut down until the spring was all the way compressed put my thumb on the spur and rotated the tire and there was almost no resistance. The diff rotates freely and there is not grittyness or noise or anything so it seems fine, but the slipper clutch is messed up. Is there anythin I can do or do I need to go buy more parts.

I took it apart and everything looked OK but when I put it back together same problem. What do bad slipper pads look like?

I noticed the windshield is cut out on the cheech4 truck. What is that all about?
Looks like he stole it from a nitro burner.

Shock oil:

REAR: Medium Springs, 35wt oil.
FRONT: :Soft springs, 30wt oil.

That set-up gives pretty smooth steering, being very stable through jumps.

no its not stolen thank you, lol actually i put it there so the ESC would get more air to it... the body is from an HPI mt truck i used to have but sold it with a ford f 150 instead kept the chevy. its a 1/10 scale body body word of advice get the body spacers cuz mine was cut to fit , its not bad but i did have to modify it.

you said the tranny is good, it might not be, try tightening the screw of the tranny all the way and let off about 1/8 turn then try to adjust the slipper.

I think cheech is right. Tighten the diff first then adjust the slipper. You have to get the diff bolt tight, not snug, TIGHT, then back it off a 1/8 turn.

From my manual about how to adjust... it's for a different car but Team Losi gives a pretty good description on how to do it.

The new wheel bearing spacers work great they have to be .260 wide. The wheel still needs a little chamfer on the back closest to the knuckle and you can tighten just like stock tires. No need to back off nut. And no reason, not to run your washer.

Default RE: The Evader Coalition - T.E.C.

I recently bought an Evader Bx, the electric, not the nitro. My friend is very experienced with r/c cars, but I'm not. I need some other peoples opinions on things, not just from my friend.

I am buying a forward and reverse 8 turn racing Intellispeed esc from my friend along with a Peak Racing Jaguar motor for $80. My friend said the motor is an 8 turn double wound, but I'm not sure if it really is or not. I can try the stuff out before i buy it officially.

Anyway, i was wondering what gear ratio you think i should use for longish run times and less wear and tear on stuff. Just for average running around, not racing. I like it to have more top end than acceleration, but not a whole lot more. :S

I installed the esc and the motor, and ran it outside. I own 2 1500mah nicd batteries which i use in the evader. I ran the buggy for like 20 mins per battery, and noticed the buggy was acting funny. Sometimes it seemed like it was getting more power to one wheel, because it kept turning one way, but it did it both left and right, and it wasn't my steering trim. I noticed when going top speed and doing a high speed turn around, the buggy kind of lurched to accelerate again. I think maybe the gears are too close together and are binding or something. What should I do about this? The dang thing hauled when it actually went straight though. : )
