Well, I've decided to let the Evader go..
Is anyone interested?
I have a ton invested in it..

The only thing making me not able to drive it is the tranny.
I'm way too frustrated.
I'll include some odds and ends, to build a new tranny.

It is originally a EXT, but I put some:
ST Alu Shocks (Front and Rear)
Green HARD Springs (Front and Rear)
Will include the Yellow MEDIUM Springs (Front and Rear)
Ball Bearings All Around
Titan 12T Motor (Extra motor will also be included) (If you treat the motors with care, it will last a LONG time.. This motor currently running has been going for over 30 runs, and is running like it's brand new)
XL-5 ESC from Traxxas
EXT Body (With Light Kit)
ST Body

Everything is like-new.
Stock TX/RX.
Also included is a drawer full of spare parts, and upgrades.

I'm looking for a price that's reasonable, but PM me.. I don't wanna sell on a discussion board.

Back on topic:
The Evader is a awesome truck, if you maintain it often...
I would think the B2 diff would be weaker than the EXT Gear diff.

Also:
I'm assuming you're using FOAM tires for inside tracks? Wouldn't the foam wear like mad outside?

well i decided to keep mine after coming up on enough money to fully fun my 1/8th scale brushless project. will be buying metal gear diff in dec. from my guy at arrow rc who has agreed to sell me the one and only he produced. so in the mean time im gonna shelf it as it doesnt like the cold too much. it gets a little brittle and all u have to do is roll it to break stuff. but i will be running my truggy on 5s and a 2200kv neu motor. its gonna be insane.

i think it comes stock with 20wt or 25wt i have 35 in my and it's fine for what i do but you might just need a different bore size on your piston. i don't know if you can buy them though? i would go with 35-45 because i think that is good for offroad jumps ranging from 2-6ft
if you do onroad you want 50+ so it won't have so much body roll.

i've been thinking of getting an associated t4 roller with some aluminum parts for 75$ im tired of parts breaking at the races. plus it have to go to the most hated/over priced hobby shop to get parts. it also come with a couple sets of wheels and tires and some extra parts.

i've broken everything on my evader except the chasis, rear shock tower and bulk head...and turnbuckles... every thing else you can think of i have had to replace :/

Over time, the outer diameter of the piston will wear down causing the shock fliud to bypass around the outside instead of thru the flow holes, sometimes just replacing them with new ones will increase shock performence. Also, I have found that since the shock bodies are thin alum. , they tend to distort very quikly with temperture changes(swell and shrink) which causes inconsistent shock performence.

i like my hard annodized bodies, no swellage super consistant they're sweet and they look sweet too i like um better than the reg evaders,
piston size is kinda like changing oil weights, the smaller the holes the stiffer the suspention, for me i run 30wt front and back with 1.1mm pistons up front and 1.0mm pistons in the rear, it stiffens up alot that .1mm differance, and the stock oil is 20wt, with 1.2mm pistons accross the board.

for your shock to compress the oil needs to travle from one side to the other. (duh, lol) on your shock you have a piston with holes in it. the faster the fluid can get to the other side the softer your suspendion is and vice versa. if you have a large hole then the fluid will be able to move very quickle but if you have a small hole then the fluid will move slower. it's like trying to get a set amount of water through a pipe in as little amount of time as possible. the larger your pipe the faster it will flow. (i didn't intend that to sound wrong) so by changing the size of our piston you are changing how fast the oil will flow.

I've got one of each (EXT and ST) - EXT has regular phillips screw heads instead of hex heads. some are a bit thinner than ST (ie - they pull out of the plastic parts easier than the hex head). I'd go with hex head kit, but matter of your preference.

hex head for durability but you also want a nice set of drivers because normal L-wrenches are like torture to your fingers.

Default RE: The Evader Coalition ~ T.E.C.

Hello Evader owners..... I would like to introduce myself as a newbie.. but not to new. I use to bash back in the days when I was a kid with my old Tamiya Wild One's car.... still have the old girl as a shelf trophy... lol. Would love to play with it again.... but instead I have what I tell the wife 'my new hobby' (allows me to buy things without fear). The new hobby is 2 Evaders.

The first Evader I bought (Green body) is officially my 'basher'. I scored it locally up here in Canada for $80 bucks (CDN). It came all stock... even the transmitter. I ripped out the stock motor and ESC.. put in a new LRP AI Pro ESC (which I hate with a passion)... and also a Trinity Komodo 19T Pro (awesome motor). I kept the stock servo, but after the 2nd run on a dirt track with the new Komodo it stripped.... so I have upgraded that to a JR metal gear servo... and love it. My intent with this Evader was to upgrade it all to Aluminum parts and graphite.

I then came across my second Evader that I bought for $180.00 (US) which to me was a dream machine having all the bells and whistles. I originally bought it to replace the old Evader since it had all the upgrades I wanted to do to my first truck, but my buddy talked me out of it due to the beauty of the machine (parts) that it was to good to use as a basher... but more of a street / show car. It came with 10T Reedy motor (wheelie bar as well) LRP AI Bullet ESC. This truck as you can see by the photos is all Graphite and Aluminum parts. Some parts that are graphite and do have the Aluminum parts to replace those I'll be doing so over the months till the winter is over... just right now I need to upgrade something more important due to my next upgrade.

Being shipped to me right now, and hopefully will get it in a week or two to put under the Xmas tree for myself are two Mamba Max combo set ups. One being the 4600 and the other is a 5700. I got these mostly for the ESC.. due to me having big time issues with the LRP AI esc's. Plus I wanted to get into brushless one day... so why not now.

Now with these two new motors and ESCs... I have been reading on these forums that my stock TRANNY is in for some SHOCK and Awe / stripping... and I really.. really need to get them rebuilt to be the B2 conversion that I have again read about all over these forums. I can read and read.. and when I think I have figured out EXACTLY what I need to do... I read something else that throws me completely off..... I guess I'm more of a photo / video how to guy... and would love to be able to see how its all done with having actual links to the parts I need to replace in my gear box.

Anyway... just figured I would say hello.. and I look forward to continuing to come on here.. and I'm sure I'll be back with lots of questions.. if they are not answered already on this GREAT forum.

Bye
