RE: PEAD vs RUSTY
I can't say, because I've never owned a Rustler. I've owned 3 stampedes since I was 10 (I'm now 20) and they're still my main source of rc FUN! (the original two don't really exist anymore, my dad threw one in the trash because I was taking up his work bench and wouldn't finish putting it back together[:@] , the other one is now a box of parts to support my newer one )
The rustler and pede are so similar. I'm going to assume that the rustler is more nimble, or at least it looks like it is, with that stadium truck stance. Next time around I may buy a rusty just to try them out. [8D]

pede. it's very durable and fast out of the box. Can be faster with minor upgrades but I suppose the same can be said about the rusty.

I think the pede is more comfortable in the air than on the ground. It loves JUMPING! it could go 15, 25, 30 mph or 50 mph, i don't care as long as it still jumps good!!

Cadillac kid, define "fast" when we are referring to out of the box? I think that stock, the pede is indeed fast. It's faster than my Rising Storm stock.

RE: PEAD vs RUSTY
LOL , well a CEN CT4 does over 70 out of the box, that is fast... I really dont care about the electronics as I would change them all out if I had a stampede.

RE: PEAD vs RUSTY
It probably just wasn't meant to go that fast stock. It IS an entry-level (and I don't mean that in a bad way)MT/ST. which means if you're not happy with the speed you have to upgrade it. The truck is a great platform to start out in RC and it's built to take a lot more punishment than any other rc I've seen. It's no racer, but then again neither am I

FYI its not an electric, but a electric with good cells and a brushless setup will go just as fast if not faster.

LOL, granted this is Pede vs Rusty, but you asked my to define a fast RTR. A pede/rusty is not a fast RTR. I gave you what you asked, Just showing you what I consider a "fast" RTR.

Yes, all you need is the chassis, braces and sevo saver for the Pede the rest of the parts are the same. Over all the weight is about the same except for the larger tires on the Pede., I prefer the Pede body but I am partial to ST's.
I have two Rustlers, one of which will soon be a Pede, if you need any tips on the conversion i would be more than happy to help you with the few things I have figured out.

RE: PEAD vs RUSTY
Exactly!!
See the thing here is a different brand of "fun". for some the super fast high tech screamers that cost **** loads of money and require some pretty extensive knowledge of the hobby may apeal to some and in fact to some degree they apeal to me for the shear speed. But...for the guy who just wants something to aggravate the living dog stinky out of his neighbors with, you can't beat the Pede and the Rusty for an inexpensive basher with a satifying amount of speed and agility out of the box. Now granted the same day my Rusty arrived I spent another $100 or better for upgrades but that's me that's what i enjoy most...the build.
Not to mention the element of them being the absolute perfect first truck for a 12 year old just being introduced to the hobby.
So all you hop heads out there with yer "CT4's" and yer sound bearier breaking screamers, remember, we think just as much of our beaters and bashers.
