Default what are deans plugs

hi im new to r/c i own a drifted out tt-01 , sportwerks raven and a nitro thunder tiger mta4 iv herd that a lot off ppl are using deans plugs what are they for and are they for elc /petrol

Use for conecting batteries to ESC, or motor to ESC.

They ruduce resistance and are more heat resistant.

Yes they are worth getting, they are for electrics.

Pardon the intrusion here, but what kind of solder would you use to connect a Deans plug?

i use just your basic 60/40 rosin core electronis soder that i get from radio shack

I just bought myself 19 pair of them to change the bullet plugs, but it's say on the bag to "pre tin" the wire and connector, what is actually pre tin ?

To slightly cover the surfaces you are soldering together with solder...

I'm thinking about switching but to switch all my batteries and charger and esc it'll cost something like $40 or 50! I still want to switch though cause the tamiya connectors on my emaxx are sorta bent so it takes about a minute or two to connect the batteries and then I heard bullet connectors have high restitance so I feel like junking those...

I got mine yesterday from Hobby town for $3 something a pair.. I have 3 cars and 9 battery pack, I bought 19 pairs but actually i need more....[]
