Default RC10 gold tub motor, body, etc questions.

I was just given an old Gold tub RC10. Mechanically it's in pretty good shape and mostly stock. It had the old mechanical speed control replaced with a Novak b4 that does not run the motor. The motor appears to be the original motor and seems to work fine.
Can someone tell me what size the stock motor is/was?
What would be a decent, inexpensive esc for it?
Would reverse hurt anything like the transmission?
Can you still get new bodies that will fit it? - painting is not a problem.
Is this thing worth putting $50 -$100 in to get it back running?
I won't be doing anything except some light playing/bashing and thought it might be neat to have a vintage buggy that still runs.
