help with some gearing!!
OK i have factory team TC4 with a 48P 72T spur gear. i also have a 9T epic shock motor, now all i need it the pinion.the transmittion ratio of the car is 2.5. what size of pinion should i put on the motor. i already have 22t pinion, will this be good enough?

Check your cars manual, it should have a little chart that suggests which pinion to use for what motor.
The chart will get you pretty close then you can just adjust from their.
Or, If you know the diameter of your tires you can use the gearing calculator - http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/gearwizard.cfm
It'll get you close the correct ratio for your car, then you can just adjust for the motor you are running, for the 9t you would probably need to run 1 or 2 teeth smaller on the pinion than what the gearwizard says would be ideal.
