Default just got it

i got my new tamiya mad bull yesterday and it is really cool im gonna get a black sports tuned and no better cos the esc that came with it can only go to a sports tuned it is a really good bashing thing dont quite know what it would be classed as it is absolutly stock it was the kit cos the guy in the shop said kits are better than rtr here are some pics

Nice, looks kinda old school, is it? - and you got it new. Where and how much?

Yes Kits are much better - if you are going to do upgrades and hop-ups and already have your own electronics.

RTR - is a better value - if you are just bashing, and you dont have your own electronics.

just get bearings for it, and you will gain 2-3mph as with all low-cost tamiya kits....

got it from platform 1 in napier nz. for 125 us. it came with a esc and a stock silver can motor(540) really good for the back yard will post a video of it going in the back yard with my mates grasshopper as well. his has a 540 silver stock as an upgrade but thats all

how much faster would it go with a sports tuned AND bearings. my run time with this is only like 5 minutes but my mates grasshopper with my battery lasts like nearly twice as long why is this

something is wrong with your pinion / spur mesh, OR your motor is nearing retirement -thus eating batteries. bearings will help runtime too. with a ST motor, esc and bearings, expect around 15-20 minutes of runtime with a 3600mah pack, and a top speed of 22-24mph.
