Electrical Problem
I recently bought a Team Associated RC10 T3 to start my RC career. I got a good deal because there is a problem with the speed control or the engine. When I turn it on and push the throttle there is a humming noise coming from the engine. The engine does not turn when I push the throttle but will turn by hand. The engine is a speed gem 2 and the speed control is a tempest hyperfet III max. It looks like the engine has the required diode and 3 capacitors but I do not know if they are fried. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong or where I should start looking?

RE: Electrical Problem
Sounds like the brushes maybe hanging, pull them out and check the comm while your in there. I personally would tear it down quick, clean it, cut comm and change brushes. Check there first since it is humming, you obiously have some form of voltage. If you need more info just ask WELCOME to RCU
Ps.. Cutting the comm may not be necessary, if you have a hobby shop they should be able to help. You just want it shiny like a new penny, no bad black spots.
