what type of buggy are you using, and what do you mean it is not slipping... Please explain your method of testing. In other words, we may not be talking about the same part of the buggy or may not have the same definition of slipping of the slipper clutch. It is not that hard, but does require a little feel or seeing someone do it once.

alotta nitros have slippers. Ya, lube the stuff and if it still happens, loctite the nut at where you want it.

actually most slippers get loose after driving. lubricating the slipper could cause serious slip action. more details on your slip-testing method are required to give you feedback.

no, not lubricating the slipper, you lubricate all of the bushings etc. infront of the spur.

the same applies: excess friction there won`t cause the slipper to tighten by itself when driving.

Ya, it does sound kinda odd that it TIGHTENS instead of loostening.

sorry it is a evader pro st. yeah if i loosen the slipper and the first time you jab the gas it tightens really tight i put some WD 40 on the bushings and it still does it and like i said the lock nut is good, the only way it won't tighten is if you set it to loose and the truck barely moves!

I believe this is a common problem with the evaders, both of mine did it anyways.

Check the slipper bushings, the bigger one is liable to have gotten grooved by the smaller one, if that's the case you can either flip the worn bushing over or install a new one. (this would only be the problem if it has been used for a while).

If it's brand new and is doing it, I would suggest putting locktite on the nut or double nutting it (screw two nuts on then tighten them into each)

Ya, the evaders do that. The nut is not good and easily can be tightened or loostened. In your case i would use loctite because double nutting it will just stop the nut form loostening, but it can still tighten.
