RE: freakin' shocks!!!!!!!!!!!
Uhhh, all you have to do is "bleed the shock. It doesn't matter how much oil you have in them if you bleed them. Put the oil in and tighten the cap 75%. Slowly compress the shock and the oil should be coming out slowly. Uncompress the shock slowly and tighten the cap all the way. The shock now has the perfect amount of oil if done right.

RE: freakin' shocks!!!!!!!!!!!
When I fill my shocks gently squeeze the oil, against the inside of the shock body, until it is almost full. Maybe 1/8" left open at the top. The piston would be all the way at the bottom. Then I push the piston, slowly, to almost the top, twisting it all the way so that the air escapes from the holes in the piston "shelf" (for lack of a better word, the part that is inside the shock body and has holes in it to allow flow of oil). I lightly blow on the oil at the top, this helps break the air bubbles. I keep doing this until the air is out. I then top off with a few drops of oil so that it is to the top of the body. Then screw on the cap. Done. Hope this helps.
