Well...I don't have the extreme....but I do have the Original...and I love it as well. I've seen the extreme...and it looks pretty cool as well. I bet I'd like if I were to buy one.

I just finished making and installing some diy shock towers on mine. I put on some large oil shocks but it was riding to high, so I made the towers to keep the long travel in the shocks and lower the cg. I ran it a little tonight and they seemed to work great.

I got the 4wd version of it...the twin detonator. It WAS my best basher. Never broke a part. It has been taken through 1+ feet of water and mud and jumped and rock crawled and never broke a part. But then a screw on the steering knuckle fell out and i didn't have any spares so i stopped running it, then when i found one, the msc went, and i wasn't into a 105 dollar dual motor esc, so now it's just for screws and parts and motors[]

noooo dont just use it as parts get another msc if you cant buy a $105.00 esc then and plus that is a good deal for a dual motor esc.

What's the difference between an old school original Blackfoot, and the new Extreme edition? I was thinking about picking up the new one, but I wanted to be clear on the differences...

the body

no offence man, but the difference is A LOT. Go on google and search for them both. The blackfoot extreme is SO DIFFERENT, i wouldnt be able to tell that they are both blackfoots. Some of the major things are: totally newly designed chassis, new gearbox, new steering. The blackfoot extreme is a 2wd twin detonator. They both have the same chassis.

Dude, i was just naming one thing because the only pics i've seen are with the body on so exterior all you can tell is the body from a far. And what's up with that thing about the twin detonator being a 4wd blackfoot? Didn't i say that earlier?

yes, sorry. You did talk about the twin detonator. BUT, even with pics with the body on, you can still see the format of the extreme is totally different than all the previous 'foots.
