It's a load of bs. That's nearly 30 mph, and the hobby grade cars take at least 200 to be made for 30mph. The only way possible if the way overgeared it, but with that crappy motor, they would have to gear like 30/90. If you're not serious about going fast or rc in general, pick it up kuz it's probly like 20 bucks. If you want something that will really go 30, save that money and eventually get a hobby grade rc.

X-mods are very smal though, so a 540 motor with 1/10 buggy or truck gearing would hit 25-30

I mentioned this in the "high performance newbrights" thread. The car is very similar to a budget rc18t. It's a 1/18 scale and uses a 370 size motor. I was thinking just drop in a mlst reciever and I can use the mlst tx and then throw in a mamba comp-x. If my predictions are right then rc18t parts SHOULD work but no guarentee. They also had a buggy model. They run for about $40 at your local walmart.

this is a 2wd model... and from the looks NOTHING can be upgraded.. they dont se screws,, just those permanent pins... im sure the shocks are friction and you cant replace the wheels.. the only thing that MIGHT be of change is the motor.. but i highly doubt it... it is a serious toy,, that is all.. i have studied this thing ... about as much as anyone could without removing it from the box

I have a feeling quite a few rc18 parts would work, but I only had a short glance at it...

Are you ever right about that! When I was into boats you really had to watch out cause some would 'claim' to do 30 mph out of the box but when some one bought one and tested it it was more like 10 mph. I think they would maybe do 30 mph down a long steep waterfall (lol). Don't believe every thing you read on a box, they some times flat out lie just to get your money.

the box says 250 scale mph at 18th scale thats 13 mph

30,000 rpm dosent diretly relate to speed cause gearin changes that 30,000 to somthing els

if they lie on the box then u can sue for false ad i got my lawer here right now going over suing my job for laying me off with no pay or notice he say 90% chance u would win if it dosent go 250 scale mph

He's right about the rpms. there is no way to figure out rpm to mph by just looking at the box or an advertisement. You have to know the gearing. My nextdoor neighbor has a Clod with 2 Black Majic Voodoo motors (102,000 rpms each) and with his gear reduction units it tops out at about 10 mph. It'll pull a house though.

discgolfer, that's how layoffs work man. You have no case I'm afraid. Now if you were FIRED without cause, that's different. But a layoff situation means it was a reduction in force and you can collect unemployment.. Thus, you have no case. At least that's how TN labor laws work, and I believe they're based on federal laws.
