Default using himax 2015 4100kv brushless on rc18t

I have been pondering using my airplane setup on the rc18t.........i have castle creations 25 amp phoenix speed control and himaxx 2015 4100kv, i am thinking it will produce similar results from the lowest mamba upgrade, or the 4200 kv motor, i know that the motors are roughly the same overall dimensions....and about the same power level.....and the speed control does not offer reverse, just food for thought, will this work.......thanks in advance for any suggestions.....

i did some searching, i did find out that the airplane speed control......has a throttle setting for starting at zero...and the mamba, and other car speedos startabout 50 percent throttle, and the rest neutral and brake, i will be calling castle to see if they can reprogram....via the online programer....
