Dang disc, I'm starting to wonder if you have a job, ever sleep, or both.
Took the Bosscat out yesterday on woodchips, damp gritty gravel, and asphalt. Ran with 21t pinion, 89t spur. Wow, that thing rips it up with torque. Upped it to 23/89, still loads of low-end TQ. Going to go 25/89 next time, maybe 24/92. That buggy is loads of fun!
Took the RC10 out too, but lost the rear wheel on one of the first turns I made - forgot to check the lock nuts on the wheels, one was loose and off it went. Recovered the tire, but the nut was hopelessly lost. No spares with me at the time, so that was that.

RE: vintage rc official old school thread
Guys, im planning on dropping in a brushless mtor into my RC10 champ. edition. Im wondering what makes the Mamba MAx different from the others. I know the others are sensored and the Mamaba max is sensorless, but what exaclty does that mean, and how does it affect the motor. Im trying to decide between the Mamba MAx 7700kV combo or the LRP Neo 4 star combo.
Also if i upgrade the transmission with bearings will it be able to handle the power of the brushless motor?

RE: vintage rc official old school thread
Well are there any dis/advantages of senorless compared to sensored? If there isnt any disadvantage im definetly getting the Mamba, after seeing the 5800 in person, i know the 7700 will have way more power then i need, but i like it that way

Rs43EVOman - I'm not sure about sensored vs. sensorless, it might not hurt to do a forum search. However, I've heard lots of good things about Castle in general - both the mamba products and their customer support, so if it were me, sensors or no sensors would be a non-issue. (But then, I'm just a basher who is still after his first BLess setup).
