RE: Tamiya Baja King /Rising Storm kits
No matter how much you jack it up, you will screw up the suspension geometry with the angles putting alot of stress on the shocks and arms and possibly worse performance. I managed to raise the rear and front end without drilling more holes in the arms, or ruining the geometry. It actually made the suspension better for bashing. Look at my Tamiya DF thread. Look at the first post and look at the shock tower and front end.

The esc on the rising storm can supposably handle a 23turn. I know it's not safe but what if you put a fan on the esc? Would that prevent it from over heating?

Wow, you run dual 540 on a TEU-101?! Man.. that's amazing....
Yeah, dual 540 27T in parallel is like running a 13.5T... (roughly)

I'm running a stock Tamiya ESC on my Twin Detonator, all i've done is mounted a 5v laptop fan just above. Seems to work just fine keeps the heat minimal. I believe two 540's is like one 13T................that sound right??

RE: Tamiya Baja King /Rising Storm kits
Before i new it was a problem I had a Trinity Speed Gem2 12T in my Blackfoot with the same Tamiya ESC in the Twin Detonator. I had it in for about a month used it almost daily with a 3000mah NIMH running the battery right down each time.[X(] I'm not saying you should do anything ,but it worked and still does for me.

So... In that case, it could possibly handle a 13turn? Although I wouldn't really want to risk it.

You know that Fire Hawk I was talking about earlier. Well I decided to put it in my RS and instead of 20-25mph. I'm now pushing around 35-40mph. It's really awesome. I have been keeping a close eye on the esc tho. Checking the temp every so often. But that motor is sweet. Now I can finally race my little cousin and have a chance at beating him[>:]

RE: Tamiya Baja King /Rising Storm kits
Sorry man, but that's utter and complete b.s. No motor on a stock esc'd 4wd tamiya buggy will reach 35-40. A touring car could barely do that and they gear REALLY high. If you want to see what 40mph is, hit me up and I'll vid my tnx. Never saw anything besides touring cars and SOME bl that are faster than it.

RE: Tamiya Baja King /Rising Storm kits
Hey man no need to bring me down that far! That was only a rough estimate. I did although clock it today and I was doing 30-33mph max. I know I was off a bit. I was only guessing at the time. I don't have a clue what the motor puts out Rpm wise, or even if it's stock.
