Comm Lathes
When it comes to comm lathes, many of us are very confused, and unless we have a LHS with a comm lathe, we become fairly helpless. none of my LHS have a comm lathe, and i have a buddy with one, but would like to get one myself. when it comes to purchasing one, what features should i look for? what is the process when it comes to cutting a comm? i am currently looking into the team orion comm lathe, would you suggest this lathe? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKBG4&P=0
obviously im fairly clueless when it comes to these things, i know a good amount when it comes to electric airplanes, but throw me a car motor and you have me confused . also, is the process difficult? im hoping to be able to help others like me in the area by offering to do comm cuts, but wondering if it takes some skill to do so.
all help is greatly appreciated!
