Well I just bought this www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm

and this www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p

and two 7 cell Elite 5000MaH NiMh batteries with TRX connectors

Should Ibe looking for any specific spares or hop ups right now?

My second question is in case I want to go with lipos. What does all of the letters/numbers mean in a lipo battery description. for example a 4000mah, 2s 20c. I know the 4000 is the milli amps per hour which describes how long the battery will run in laymens terms. What does the 2s and 20c mean.

Truck looks pretty cleanI would replace the wheelie bar because that one looks OK but doesn't work. I think you should drive it till you break it and depending on how good you drive________Well, your skill level will dictate the parts you need. If you need to replace suspension parts look at RPM they are indestructible.

I don't run Lipo's because I'm more into intro and I have a bunch of $$$$ in NIMH chargers and batteries so maybe somebody else can help you there.

I have 2 of the MRC chargers and they work great so I think you made a good choice there.

Looks good i would upgrade the bulkheads to aluminum and go with rpm shock towers that should hold up pretty good. How does that bag fit i have been looking for one but cant find one that it will fit in.I agree that wheelie bar is a joke go back to stock. People have no sense in this Hobie these guys that do a full truck from aluminum are not the smartest ya they are pretty. You want flexible parts not bendable the bulk heads, frame rails and possible the frame are the only exceptions. Rpm has the best parts imo. Looks like you have there a arms. On the batteries 2s 20c means 2 cell that equates to voltage each cell is 3.7 volt so a 2 cell is 7.4v and a 3 cell is 11.1. The 20c is current I am still trying to research this i am working on switching over to lipo's soon. Here is a good read it is more for aircraft but the best i have found yet. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209187

So I am a LiPo newbie, never owned, charged, or drove with one. I have a MRC Superbrain 977 charger which Iam told can do LiPo's.

My question is this, if Igo to LiPo's do Istill run two of them? Which ones should Ibuy (2s, 3s, 20c, 30c, how many MaH's)? What Voltage batteries should Ibuy? Do Ineed anything besides my current charger?

Thanks for the help guys

Is it just me or are people still going crazy over the 3906 model?  I ask because I just saw a basically stock 3906 (it had a bunch of extras and some batteries) go for $541 on eBay last night.  Are they really worth that much or was that just a case of people going crazy at a auction site?

Beats me they are like $384 at Tower Hobby and cheaper at the LHS if you pay cash. They must have have some real "HOT" extras to get that kind of money for an E-Maxx that's nothing special.

HEY E-MAXX FANS..

well anyway i been eyeing the emaxx for about 3 months know but not so sure if i should get it. i want a 4x4 mt 1/8 scale for less than $400. i been watching a few videos of the e maxx an when it accellerates the back end suspension seems to have a lot of give. like its about to hit the ground. it the suspension a little soft with the emaxx because of the extra weight because when you look at a t maxx it doesnt sag at all off the start. an could this be prone to bottoming out a lot?

plus i have another question. im still new to this hobby an only have owned two hobby grade cars. but with the traxxas rustler i have the steering isnt all that great. is the emaxx the same way with the steering. because the main use of this truck would be to race at the track. yes i have heard about the e-revo an that its a better over all vehicle but i dont care at this point the emaxx looks better to me an more like a mt. because when i am at the track i see to beat my car up more than i do at home in the back yard. i just want to have an idea of how it handles out of the box if it is track ready. not speed wise that isnt my concern right now. i want to know is the emaxx is capable of handling messing up on a quad jump. figurely speaking.

well otherwise i am looking at getting a nitro mt an i have in mind either a used revo 3.3 or a new losi aftershock. but thats disscusion is for another thread.

Hi all!

About 2 months ago I bought myself an E-Maxx and I still love it!
You can drive in the snow and don'T worry about defect electronic that cannot stand the wetness.

After some tuning you have a very good bash truck.
Tuned parts:
- 2x Zippy Flightmax 5000 Lipo
- rear RPM shock tower
- front + rear RPM skidplates

Here a little video from my Maxx:
