Default Going to race in 19 turn class- HELP- revised, need info for 19 turn class!!

I want to race my 4-tec that is stock exept for a JR SC-1 esc, in my local stock class on a budget (45-60 dollars). What motor would I get the most preformance out of? What budget battery should I get? Or should I just go straight to the 19 turn spec/modified class? Will my car be slower than stock(old 19 turn traxxas stinger motor) if I run a good 27 turn motor?
What is the difference between the stock pro and stock Epic motors-Which should I get?

Please help me get into racing!!!- Remember- what battery?
I found these motors-
Orion core-what are diodes, do I need them?- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXBSU8&P=7

Trinity CO27- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXLXT6&P=7
Epic stock- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGSZ0&P=7
Epic stock pro- http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXGSZ1&P=7

If you can't afford that at 40 bucks then get the normal co27

A very good motor is the Team Checkpoint Money 19T.

I run a 12T mod version of this in my XTM.

When I was just starting out in 19-turn brushed I used a reedy quad mag. It is not the best motor out there but it has lots of torque and I didn't go through brushes as quickly as some of the 'better' motors did. If the track is very twisty and has few straightaways a quad mag might be all you need, especially starting out. If there are more straightaways and you want something with more high end look at the team checkpoint money he mentioned above. The only other ones I remember are orion and they were pretty good too.

Chameleon is a good long lasting motor also. What tires are you running?

Great long lasting motor. Has the larger p-94 bushes for longer brush life. Good torque and top end speed.

Cant youse that motor, I rules specify that your motor must have fixed timing, machine wound, no hybrid like the komodo or assoc. quad.

Any suggestions welcome on how to outfit/setup my car.

First thing you need to tune is tires. gearing isn't going to help if you can't get the power to the track.

I'd say $50 to $60 should cover it for great tires and dish wheels. (Get the dishes, they'll handle abuse.)

Well, I commented on the track because it is the flattest track I have ever seen. (Except for on-roads of course.)

Definately, no questions asked, the Team Br00d 19's. Chose one that would suit your application best, I chose the Cobalt, and it screamed.

I suggest you get the same, Team Br00d does aesome tuning to motors.

um, yub yub. it is on road.

Ask the guys that already race there what they are useing. HPIs Pirellis are pretty good. I race with the softer compunde and basj with the harder. and wheels and tires shouldn't cost you more than 30.

pro motors are usually hand wound and have a diamond trued comm.
