4.5 is a lower turn motor, making it faster.

Maybe you meant slightly less torque..

As 4.5 will put out more power than the 5.5

what a pointless poll, the Novak website would tell you the facts, a poll is usually used for something that divides opinion...

Depends on your definition of faster. For what? Offroad or onroad? In what car/truck?

By your logic, surely a mamba max 7700 would be faster than the 5700, but it isn't in most applications...

This is not true. Becuause you can not run 3s lipo on the 7700, which you can on the 5700. which inturn pumps out more RPM. making the 5700 FASTER.

Ok guys dont get off track. Unless your racing off-road ten the 4.5 is definetly faster then the 5.5. Igf your racing offroad thne both of them would be too much power, and you would spin your tires. If your bashing, or racing on-road, then definelty get the 4.5

You know me always trying to get proper disclosure here. They both have the same "power". I really wish those of you out here would get your deffinations straightned out and use full terms. New bees comming here can easily get confused about what is being said. We are talking about electric motors here. Unless it is needed, and with the weight of 1/10 scale cars it is not going to happen, the kw power or horse power will not be a factor. In electric motors this will remain the same till the extra power is needed. This is one of the reasons that brushless is so nice in the efficency department. The original question is perfectly simple.....

"What is faster..The GTB 4.5 or 5.5??"

Since the 4.5 turns more rpm per volt than the 5.5 and both are rated for 7 volts the result is clear. The 4.5 will spin faster than the 5.5 given the same load up to the brake over point which you will not reach in a 1/10 car unless you lead weight it to death.

Hello is anyone awake here. The 7700 is a faster spinning motor than the 5700 given the same criteria. Even with the 3 cell lipo it will turn faster rpms then the 5700. It just wont do it for a long time like the 5700 will. The 7700 in all applications will be faster but it will blow appart from the excessive rpms. The 5700 just dose not spin fast enouf to blow it self up on 3 cell lipo. But I suggest you try 4 cells and see what happens. It is the rpm that causes these things to come appart not the voltage.
