Default TT 01 NECESSARY UPGRADES

I have a Associated TC 4 for competitions and bought a TT-01 to drift with friends.

I want to upgrade my TT but wanted to know if they are really necessary.

I am thinking about purchasing the aluminum steering assembly, aluminum shaft, and bearings. Are some or all of these upgrades a waste of money? Will I notice a difference? Thanks in advance guys.

Drive shaft for sure, as the plastic one will actually bow out from the torque of the motor (maybe not a stock motor, not sure). I also replaced the motor mount on mine with an aluminum one. [sm=thumbup.gif]

The plastic steering assembly does seem weak, but I never made that upgrade. It sounds reasonable, though.

if your keeping it stock, just do bearings, if your upgrading engine, go for alloy shaft, metal motor mount and steering link. i built mine using stock parts, then rebuilt with my upgrades, the difference was amazing, the drivetrain was a lot more free.
