Like every time a question like this is asked........... What are your going to do with it? That make all the diferance. If you are just a basher teh DI will be great. If you are going to race Look at teh Tenth Technology XRS or 10X.

I am so sorry I totally missed that. It was 5 something in the morning. Look at the Yokomo and the J Concepts and the TTech. These thre are not cheap but the y are really great cars. I replaced my J Concepts BJ4WE with the TTech 10X and my son drives the XRS. I have a friend at the track with at Yokomo and it is very quick and clean the same with the BJ4WE. The DI can be built up but I dont know how competative it would be. They are at my local track and they run them and they dont break but they are not capable of good driving actions at the speeds we are pushing at our track. I do like several of their features. But the TTech is the easyist car I have ever worked on. I can pull and adjust both diffs and lut them back in in less than 10 minutes. It would take at least 15 just to get the rear diff out of my BJ4WE not to mention adjust and reinstall.

Thanks guys, how much does an XRS, or x10 (not sure if thats the right name) cost? I know the BJ4 is a great buggy but I think its just toooo expensive...My brother just got an xxx-4, threw a brushless in there and it flys. What car would you recommend for about 300-350 that would be very competitive at the local track?

You can get a XRS for that but no way on the 10X. The 10X is running around 550 to 600 now. I just bought a whole bunch of parts from a store in France going out of business for the TTech cars. I got 233 peices and I paid $400 for it shipping and all. I got spare chassis's and control arms, drive shafts, motor mounts. Just tons of stuff.

check the website, the xrs is a stripped down version of the x10. Its the same basic design.

The X10 just has some more ups?? Do you think it is worth getting a European brand car that I can practically never buy parts for at the store?

At pruchase also get the racers pack. This has the common parts that you may need. I have not gone through the original racers pack I bought a year ago. I bought one for each car I bought. Now I did not opt for the ultra light weight arms and chassis, that may be a little more breakable, I dont know. I did get the Ti bolt set and the ceramic bearings for both. I have replaced the wheel drives. The factory uses a funky X drive that no one else in the known universe uses, so rims are a real pain. But I bought a set of Losi wheel hexes (I bought every offset so I can play with diferent settings) and made them fit the outdrives. These allow me to use any standard wheel for the buggy.

I never said yo were going to go down to your LHS and het parts for this. But you cannot get parts for a BJ4 or XXX4 there either. At least I have not seen a LHS that stocks parts for even the XXX4. Do I think its worth it? Well I did it, I guess that means yes. Like I have said on the parts I really have not needed them. Now I was going to place an order a few weeks ago for another racers kit, but I then bought out a store in France of all their TTech parts and now I have enouf to last a life time I think. I have 14 sets of front control arms and 11 sets of rears. 5 chassis, 5 prop shafts with slippers and ceramic bearings, and tons of other parts that I got at a very reasonable price. If I had some other key hardware peices I could build about 4 or 5 cars. Is there a problem buying a
European branded car? You buy pleanty of stuff from China. At lease the Europeans are not shooting our satalites out of the sky like the Chineese are. Finally I assure you that working with the guys at J Concepts with my BJ4WE the guys at TTech are a lot more willing to help you. They have even called me from England to give tech help.
