Default Big Bores on E-MAXX problem

Im new so please excuse me if this has been asked a million times. But I cant find a post that answers my questions.

I just recently bought a E-MAXX, and the stock shocks started sagging really bad with in the 1st week or so. So I just recently bought a set of Big Bores from my LHS (which ripped me off at $100 for the shocks). No matter what position I put them in theyt sill sag, them seem alot smoother, but cant hold the truck up very high. I put the biggest spacers in to lift it some, it did barely. I do have it at a firm setting so I know it will be lower, but it seems like it bottoms out more, and when I hit a little curb jump (that I use to hit with the stocks) it flips over foward now. Seems like the rear is bouncing up after it hits, but I cant tell if it is from bottoming out and bouncing back or not, I would asume so since the shocks just sag, not much springy action going on. I know you dont want it to springy but seems like it should be more to me.
What is the best setting for the shocks as far as the hole locations for bashing. Right now I have them in the middle on top, and second hole in from the wheels at the bottom. I had the stock shocks all the way out, firmest setting, I liked it better than the way it came.

I have read about the Trinity heavy blue springs in forums, so I decide to order those, is this going to help with my suspension? Im really dissapionted with the suspension so far! I mainly just bash around in my front yard and jump some jumps every once in a while.

Also whats with the wheelies? I can hardly get it to do wheelies, I have adjusted the slipper all the way in and back off a 1/4 of a turn. It will barely get the front tires off the ground most of the time. I am doing this on concret in the street, its not real slick. It will do it on carpet ok from what I can tell, not much room to play on the carpet though. Can this have to deal with my shocks sucking?

Im trying to get the best bashing suspension set up I can, I read that the Pro-Line Power Strokes and the Big Bores where alot of peoples favorite shocks. But the Power Strokes where a little out of my range right now, since the complete package has been discontinued. So I went with what I thought was second best.

I uploaded pictures so you can see my ride hieght, hope it works I cant tell in the preview.

Get stiffer springs..

http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXKTH5&P=OW

And I hate to break if to you, but for $80 you could have gotten 8 fully aluminum/threaded shocks. I would do the shopping on the internet with things like these, hobby stores tend to over charge !

Yes I know it now, I was looking at Dynamite shocks for about 50, but from what I have read on alot of forums the Big Bores and Power Strokes where the best to go with. So I did, and now im kind of regreting it. I will be ordering online for now on trust me. I found the Big Bores are only 65 online, not 99.
I traded my 4-tec with a burnt out ESC + 260, for the E-MAXX with an extra battery and glue for the tires to get started. He wanted 300, so I guess he was getting his money back on that purchase, but that will be the last!

And I already ordered the Trinity Springs are these good for the E-MAXX?

Those will fit perfectly.. I would prefer getting the set for $30 since it includes all those springs, and would allow fine shock adjustments by using different springs in places.

I use the BigBores on my E-maxx as well. I run a set of dual rate springs by [link=http://www.rcraveninc.com/product/TMDRBL]RC Raven[/link] with one large spacer. I have had good luck bashing for almost a year with this setup.

BoyToys your looks like it does hold the truck up better, hopefully the springs I ordered will work good. I read some people are running 1-bigbore spring and 1-trinity heavy spring in each corner and they like it. And I read some people run the trinity springs all the way around, so I ordered 2 sets of 4 to be safe.

Hopefully Im heading in the right direction and not wasting my money!

yeah those are great springs! I ran them on an 8 shock setup for onroad and they handled so much better than the red stock springs. Now I run the emaxx with a 4 shock setup with I think 60wt oil and one large preloader. I also got aluminum shock caps for my emaxx. Now I can use the other for shocks for my TLT!
