Default Problem with installing a Hitec servo... How does it work?**UPDATE**

What I do is I disconnect my old servo, plug in the new one, and when I turn on my radio and ESC, the red LED light stays on the it wont turn or go forward or reverse..

BTW: This is on my E-Maxx and the servo is a Programmable digital Hitec HS-5945MG

seems like that servo is a little overkill for that application but i'd look to the manual .. good luck

Best explaination I can come up with is that the servo draws more juice then your esc bec can provide, and its sucking it all down so the receiver cant use it.

That should give you 5 volts at 1.5 amps, not a whole lot. Im not sure but I doubt its enough power to run it, the manual should say something about running with 2ch receivers and how to wire in a servo pack though.

For that fat servo, you are going to want either an ESC that puts out more or a nitro battery pack.

Yeah I bought it sorta used for $45 shipped, the guy said he ran it in his truggy for one race day... asked him if it would work in my E-Maxx he said it'll consume just a bit more than the stock servo, so i said alright and bought it.... but i guess ill just sell it back and get a hs-645mg...

If you were using the stock white servo saver, then it won't work. Get a Kimbrough #124, it comes with 3 adaptors, one of which works with Hitec servos.
