"NOTE: The Mamba Max Power System is NOT for use in 1/10th scale monster trucks." this is from their website. You could use the esc but with a bigger motor.

pretty much the only brushless system under $300 for the emaxx is the novak HV. It is a good system, but in comparison to other systems avialable it is crap. You'll also need to spend a lot of money beefing up the drivetrain. For example you need a full CVD kit, aluminum diffs, aluminum idler gear, and lots of chassis parts to withstand higher speed collisions. You'll easily spend $400-500 to get it running reliably.

RE: MAMBA E-MAXX?
you could run another motor with the mamba max, I would suggest a fegaio 8XL or 9XL and 14 cells or 4s LIPO, If its power you want, that'll guive you what you want with a stock Emaxx
Do you mean Bolido, that might be good for a washing machine or golf cart, its only about 800 kv so you couldn't gear it correctly

RE: MAMBA E-MAXX?
You could use a mamba max ESC and another brand motor, something like a feigao 9l. I'm taking a wild guess because that's used in 1/8th scale conversions. Pretty cheap too, only $100 for the motor and $140 for the ESC.
As for the Bolido, just throw in a BigMAXXimum and call it a day!

RE: MAMBA E-MAXX?
The Plett Bolido is too much for the Mamba Max.
I know of a few single 540 sized motors that will out power 2 550's.
The Mamba Max dose very will in my1/8 road racers. My converted Serpent for one and another one that is soon to be fully revealed. The serpent runs a Neu 1512/1/F. It runs very good and fast with 3, 4, or 5 cells. I have toyed with 6 cells but nothing serious.
Do not use the Mamba for the brakeing. Use a servo. This is where by far the most current is drawn.
