Default MAMBA E-MAXX?

I want to put the Mamba Max 4600 in my E-MAXX. I want to run two Venom 7.2v 4600mah packs. Will this work?

Not really. The mamba is not made to push around so much weight.

No, a single 540 can't make up the power for two 550's...

"NOTE: The Mamba Max Power System is NOT for use in 1/10th scale monster trucks." this is from their website. You could use the esc but with a bigger motor.

yeah the mamba max is meant to push around 2-5 pound cars, now if you hook it up to a 9-12 pound car, it obviously won't work.

would the mamba max esc be able to work with a single 700 size motor? how about a 900 size motor or two 700 size motors??

pretty much the only brushless system under $300 for the emaxx is the novak HV. It is a good system, but in comparison to other systems avialable it is crap. You'll also need to spend a lot of money beefing up the drivetrain. For example you need a full CVD kit, aluminum diffs, aluminum idler gear, and lots of chassis parts to withstand higher speed collisions. You'll easily spend $400-500 to get it running reliably.

You could use a mamba max ESC and another brand motor, something like a feigao 9l. I'm taking a wild guess because that's used in 1/8th scale conversions. Pretty cheap too, only $100 for the motor and $140 for the ESC.

you could run another motor with the mamba max, I would suggest a fegaio 8XL or 9XL and 14 cells or 4s LIPO, If its power you want, that'll guive you what you want with a stock Emaxx

Do you mean Bolido, that might be good for a washing machine or golf cart, its only about 800 kv so you couldn't gear it correctly

Hmm yes, Bolido, dont know how I mixed that up. You could gear it, if you modded it, which I said.

I'd ditch that idea, the 700 size motors are large, heavy, expensive, not very fast, and require a new motor mounting plate to work. Instead I suggest the s-600 motors from great planes. Do a search and you'll find one of my many posts on them. They are great motors with tons of torque and speed.

You could... but honestly the Max is a very poor ESC for an application of the sort.

As for the Bolido, just throw in a BigMAXXimum and call it a day!

The Plett Bolido is too much for the Mamba Max.

I know of a few single 540 sized motors that will out power 2 550's.

The Mamba Max dose very will in my1/8 road racers. My converted Serpent for one and another one that is soon to be fully revealed. The serpent runs a Neu 1512/1/F. It runs very good and fast with 3, 4, or 5 cells. I have toyed with 6 cells but nothing serious.

Do not use the Mamba for the brakeing. Use a servo. This is where by far the most current is drawn.

the mamba max with a feigao 8l or 9l will push your emaxx past 40mph [especially on 14cells]...and will cost 135+85=220$....
