Just installed ESC - Do I need to install capacitors??
I have a Trinity Speed Gem Pro Amber 17T double motor in my car. I drove it as is, until the stock esc fried from a puddle splash.
Now I have a DuraTrax 16T ESC and it came with three capacitors. I noticed my stock motor had capacitors but the Trinity one does not (atleast visible to me).
Do I need to solder the three on? If not, what happens?
Thanks

Yes you need to install the caps. They dramaticly reduce arching between the com. and brushes. there by increasing both brush life and com. life
