Default Traxxas 4-tec help please!!!!!

I want to get a traxxas 4-tec, http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXJJG1**&P=0 now if you go down to features it says that it has ball differentials, and I heard somewhere that ball differentials wear down if you don't drive it on prepaired areas such as smooth rc race tracks, and all I want to do with the 4-tec is drive it on my driveway or street and mabey race my friends a little.
IS THIS A PROBLEM WITH THE 4-TEC OR DOES THE 4-TEC NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM AND I'D BE SAFE TO GET IT.

thanks

It'll be fine. I run mine on very rough asphalt that's dirty. I've ruined 2 rear diffs in 2 years, but it was the aluminum side plate stripped.

My TC4 has ball diffs and I drift it in the street. 3 years and I just need to replace the back one now.

If you are driving around the streets I would recommend a shaft driven car because rocks will get into the belts.

Everybody says that and it is technically true, I have yet to lose a belt from other than normal wear. I don't think I change a belt more than every other year on my RS4.
