What 1/10 scale on-road?
I'm an expierienced nitro on-road racer, and come winter, want to race. I want to buy a Pro touring car (electric of course) but don't know which one to get, there are so many choices. For example; Xray t2 007 or 006, Associated tc4 factory team, cyclone, pro 4, the list goes on...
What should i get? (around the 400$ area, don't want to pay to much)

Wait a few weeks. There is a huge splash going to hit from Schumacher. You cant go wrong with a Schuy. They are going to try to do the grand unveiling at the Snowbird Nationals in Orlando in a few weeks. I have seen this car in person this is going to make the perverbial wave a full blown tsunami in the touring car industry. I was told today that I could say that Schumacher was working on revealiing it at the Snowbirds but no more than that. But trust me this has some real upgrades. It is not just a rebuilt mi2EC. It is a new car.

Steer away from AE on-road products.
XRAY is where it is at.
XRAY T2 2007 if you can afford it would be awesome. Even a second have T2, FK-05, or the cheaper XRAY (it's name has escaed me at this time, it's quite new, and alot cheaper than the others).

Performance is determined by the driver... most of us can't get 100% out of those top level kits anyway.. so makes no difference..
I am sure a TRF415, a world champion level machine will not be the weakest link in your setup...

Great!
But what about performance?

I guess my point was that in the right hand, it can win world championship, so it doesn't make any difference to the mere mortal like me...
But you must insist on the greatest and the latest, the TRF415 being closed out is about a few geneation behind in Tamiys's line up.. after the original TRF415 (which replaces the 414), there came the 415MS, the 415 MS Refine 2, the MSX, the MRE, and the upcoming MSXX.. each one is an evolution step above the previous one..

RE: What 1/10 scale on-road?
RURC, I got my ass spanked (finally) by a nitro. I am running my GTB/4.5 in my Pro 4, geared at 98/25 64p. Dude with a 4-tec and 3.3 literally ran through my car..broke the back bulkhead and all. I needed an excuse to go to the Mamba and 11.1. Now, based on what I have read, the 5700 is supposed to be able to handle the 11.1 and literally give me sick top end speed. My question is, I've grown accustomed to run time. How should I gear the car? With the above gearing running a 7.4, I've gone as long as 40 minutes. How much run time can I expect on 11.1 with the 5700? What type of speed? The 3.3 really duffed me out and come spring time, I am looking to get some serious payback!

wow, kinda amazing only 1 mention of the TRF415. Just by looking at there track records (back to back world titles) its preatty easy to tell that they are one of the best (in my opinion THE best) 1/10th toruning cars out there. And tamiya is selling them at nearly 1/2 off on there site. I know a bunch of other guys who are grabbing them before this deal goes away. And even if they were still selling for the normal $475 price tag, i would still reccoemend it

Just order the parts for the TRF415 from Tamiya itself. When I bought my kit from them, I bought all the needed replacement parts from them.
