The black frame looks awesome! Is it identical to the Frog frame?! (just the color difference, or there's some other difference?)

I haven't found any small GL stickers yet - mine is all paint. But I cheated and used Bill Zegers for the paint, he's really good! (I have a few General's from him including a Brat and Hotshot - a pic of my GL Hotshot is in the big Hotshot thread)

Yeah the black frame from the King Blackfoot is exactly the same as the grey Frog and red Monster Beetle/Blackfoot frames - same exact parts trees. Black makes the General look badd

I bet Bo and Luke would be proud too! And I bet Rosco P. Clotrane would want to write me a ticket!!

Here's a pic of the Subaru "General Lee" Brat:

HAHA nice! Before you are done you will have a whole tamiya buggy class. That is what me and eric were talking about would be cool to see :P A whole race of just frogs, or hornets and hoppers etc. Man what are those rear tires on the green frog? They look like 2.2 size dirt hawgs or something stretched to fit the stock rims?

Yeah just rig you up a small mp3 player man and a tiny speaker ought to be pretty easty to do! I see HPI actually makes a 69 shell but it's made to fit the savage and 1/8 scale stuff and has a big stupid blower that ruins it lol. Has anyone painted one of these up to look like the gl yet? Christian what motors are you running in the two frogs, the stock silvercans? Yeah some race footage of four or five frogs would be cool for sure bring it on.

I took my frog out today. It was my first time since I upgraded the motor to the sport tuned 540. I first ran it with my tamiya 2400 nicad and although it seemed faster there wasn't much of a difference. Then I used my EP4600 nihm battery on it and it became super fast. Like I could barely control it fast. The rear wheels were either digging in the dirt or if the dirt was hard then it wasn't gripping at all. Wasn't very drivable.

Now I am thinking I need better grip tires.

Yeah man batteries make a huge difference when you go from one extreme to the other like that :P It's still sort of cool to me though to run the old reissue stuff on nicads HAHA. Cool pics. I think a good motor for the frog would be a 23 turn super stock, or a reallly good 19 turn. With it's indepedent rear suspension it ought to be able to handle more motor than the hopper/ hornet, in theory...but maybe not until a front shock upgrade and different tires is installed who knows...

I love the one of the upside down flying frog. Shame it's not in focus.

I have LB's frog/snow/roostertails pic as my desktop background.

Depends on what motor you are running.. stock motor does not pull that much current so it does not take advantage of a high current battery..

Also, 10C is not very high current...

As a general rule I try to avoid stickpacks that are made with the cardboard tubing that way, and with 16 gauge wiring, instead of 12 etc, but for a frog running the silvercan I doubt it will matter much haha. It should give better runtime than a nicad pack if that is what you are asking and maybe a bit more power but nothing earth shattering I'd guess.

Hello, i use in my frog a 7.2V intellect 4600mha battery; now i bought a 7.2V 4500mAh NiMH Battery Packs High Current (10C). Is this battery with high current the car's performance will improve?

Christian I know of no better cells than the intellect (IB) cells, the only ones that could possibly be as good or better would be the ener-g cells or the EP ones, or maybe the orion 5300. Alot of the racers use the intellect cells. I do not think the 4500 pack you showed a pic of probably has any of these cells, so I doubt the performance will improve over your 4600 pack at all. The only way it would is if your pack is simply worn out or the cells really unbalanced. If you want better power I'd go with a lipo pack or a faster motor.

Battery won't make too much of a difference when you are using the silvercan motor, since the motor does not draw enough current to matter..

Pretty neat comparison between the original package of the Frog vs. the new re-re Frog..
