RE: Has anyone bought From Dinball on Ebay
OK I find RCmart / Dinball to have great service and fast shipping.
Normally takes 2 days once money has cleared to reach Australia. Hong kong has a great shipping service, and is normally faster buying from HongKong that in Australia.
People complaining about a 1 month shipping to get to them, have you ever thought that people all over the world buying FROM the USA also have to wait 1 month for your parts to reach us? You are actually very lucky to live in the US with this hobby.

"Hong Kong became a Crown Colony in 1843 with the first urban settlement in Victoria City (now called Admiralty). The Kowloon Peninsula south of Boundary Street and Stonecutter's Island was ceded to the British in perpetuity in 1860 under the Convention of Peking after China's defeat in the Second Opium War. Expansive adjacent lands to the north, known as the New Territories (including New Kowloon and Lantau Island), were then leased by Britain from China for 99 years, from 1 July 1898 to 30 June 1997"
hmmm i can see myself as guilty for taking this thread off topic, but nvm.

RE: Has anyone bought From Dinball on Ebay
When I say illegally, I mean that I do not view the Opium Wars as a LEGAL war. It is evidently a British led offensive against China, which resulted in the death and addiction of many millions of innocent Chinese in an attempt by the British to increase wealth for itself.
Therefore the Opium War was immoral at the least.
The foreigners sliced China into a pie. In fact, my current area of residence was controlled by the Japanese. There were three gas chambers constructed by the Japanese for experiments on northern Chinese constructed in my city, and we still have one gas chamber kept from the occupation as a museum, and there are still landmines in the countryside.
In Shanghai there is a sign for the European Quarter: "No dogs and Chinese allowed."
I guess I went a bit off topic, but I am trying to justify my previous assertion.
Yeah, it will take a while for the people as a whole to learn the differences between the Asian countries.

When you got your items from him, where they packed like the way tower packs in the box.
It's too bad that it takes a whole month to get your hop-ups.
Is the wait truly worth it?
Please, be honest, thanks!
And another thing, is GPM or 3racing actual companies in Japan.
Dinball is just thier supplier/distributer.

RE: Has anyone bought From Dinball on Ebay
I ordered a Subaru Brat Thursday night, and it arrived Wednesday morning. From Hong Kong to NZ, that's very impressive.
It was in an oversize box, with a reasonable amount of bubble wrap in it, which is lucky, as that oversize box was slightly squashed (probably the local post service, as they're pretty bad).
I am very impressed, and will most certainly be using them again.

RE: Has anyone bought From Dinball on Ebay
I have just recieved an e-mail from dinball/rc mart that the money order hasn't been recieved yet.
I sent the money order on Feb 23rd.
I also checked his feedback and a few people didnt get e-mail replies back from him/her.
I still have the stub from the money order, mabe i can check to see if the money order was cashed or not?
I was the type of money orders that you can pick up at a grocery store International Money Order.
Has anyone else have this happen to them.
The address ebay gave me was:
Ping C. Ng
P.0. Box 1642
Temple City, CA 91780
Has anyone else used this address.
I might have sent it to the wrong place.[]

Dinball I don't think would rip you off, they're a good shop. Did you at least send it certified mail or in some way where you could track it?

RE: Has anyone bought From Dinball on Ebay
No, but next time I will.
I have checked the status on the money order itself and it has not been cashed.
I just E-mailed dinball and asked to wait another 1 or 2 weeks.
I have yet to recive a response from him/her.
It's probably a postal service error/delay.
Yet, it has been out since Feb 23rd.
So it's been 2 weeks.[:@]
And dinball has not received payment yet.[&o]
I should go ahead and leave him some good positive feedback since he's waiting so long.
I'm sure dinball would like that alot.

RE: Has anyone bought From Dinball on Ebay
I have just found out that the money order was cashed Friday March 9th.
So dinball has recieved my money.
I read the shipping tearms and it takes 1-5 days just to procees an order.
Then 7-14 days for shipment of an order.
As long as dinball got my money, there shouldn't be nothing to worry about.
I'll just have to wait til my item arrives at my door: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN:IT&ih=001
I'll post pictures here when my order arrives.

RE: Has anyone bought From Dinball on Ebay
Well, I have offically found out that dinball has been ripping alot people off.
Some of you people get lucky and get what you payed for.
Me and this person right here were not so lucky.
Example: From mugenseiki_spares on ebay:
Payment was made via paypal I bought stuff from him/her before it takes ages to post and yeah never hardly response to emails.I got no response on the item i bought I also bid on a alloy pulley that he canceled the auction on me, should have seen the rip coming but like I said I have bought stuff before and new it took ages to post.
kawahara belts are really hard to get here in Australia
Me: electricguy007 on ebay:
Payment was sent on Feb. 23rd 2007.
I called Moneygram money orders and the money order was cashed on March 9th 2007.
I recieved a non-paying bidder notice from dinball March 13th 2007.
So he kept my money or it was stolen or lost in the mail.
There you have it. Dinball is a seller that simply cannot be trusted unless you live near him, in the UK or similar.

He never replyed to my e-mails either, unless something bad happened like
a Non-paying bidder warning.
But the fact remains once a money order has been cashed already, you cannot do anything about it.
Paypal is much worse cause you have to put your credit card number online.
That is a serious risk.[:@]

I have to agree with aer-wubby on this one. Also for next time, pay special attention to the sellers feedback rating. I would really take extreme caution when I see some seller with just a 98.1% feedback with 73 negatives in the past month.

No not exactly.. The person you're paying to doesn't see your CC number, only PayPal does. That's what PayPal is there for - for secure transactions. Every CC payment is dealt with PayPal, then transfered into the persons account. This is why you can dispute to PayPal, and request a charge back for a physical item if you did not receive it.

I should have checked dinball's feedback before I bidded.
Dinball has like 400+ negative feedback in the last 12 months.
If that was me, id be banned permantly after 3 negative feedbacks.
How is this guy still running a bussiness, i'll never know.

Barnone Tower Hobbies blows the doors off ebay!!
I have always gotten everything I ordered within 2-3 days no problems.

RE: Has anyone bought From Dinball on Ebay
Dinball is one of many RC stores in Hong Kong , but HK is not a part of China . It is a special administritive zone , and becomes part of China in about 40 years . Last year i did an RC shopping holiday in HK , but when you got from HK to China you still go through customs and get your passport checked . I went to HK with 3 changes of clothes , and came back with more clothes and 2 more cars with hop ups . You can visit Dinball in HK , I did . I had to take the wheels and body off my HPI savage so that it would fit in the overhead luggage compartment on the plane . I got Savage RTR for $320 at harmony model shop because they needed the space .

Just Perfect!![:@]
Why would a Hong Kong shop be in California, it just doesnt make sense to me.[:@]
I got ripped off and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it![:@]
I'm just gonna stick with Tower Hobbies and my local shop only.
I'm gonna cancel my ebay account whenever I get the chance![]
