Nihm or Ni-cd
which battery type would best suit a HPI RS4 1/10 electric RC. Are Ni Cd's more comently used or Nihm's. Is it true that Nihms dont have any memory? Also which would last longer on a single charge if you were to compare a 3300 Nicd to a 3300 Nihm.

Nimh's do still have a mamory but it's not nearly as bad as a nicad. Nicads had to be completely discharged every cycle or they would develope a memory. Nimh's should still be cycled but once every 5 - 10 cycles is plenty. Basically if you run them down driving the vehicle then you don't need to worry about it.
Nimh's are better than nicads but if you're willing to learn how to handle them lipo's are fantastic. They will maintain their performance right up to their cut-off point. No gradual fading with them.
