Maxamps Lipo questions
I was thinking about getting a maxamps lipo, the 7.4v 6000mAh one. I use a brushed SC with tamiya connectors. I saw all the options you could have. I dunno which to have tamiya female connectors or male for just a tamiya connector ESC. I also dunno about all the other options, like wires and stuff.
Please advise[sm=72_72.gif]

RE: Maxamps Lipo questions
most esc's i see use a male tamiya connector....so your batt should have a female connector...

although i would suggest you use deans ultra connectors.....they have less resistance than tamiya connectors....if you use deans, the batts should have the female deans connector and the esc should have the male connector...you will have to buy a male connector for your esc if you dont already have one

i would wait until you get the batts before you solder on the male connector to the esc, that way you can make sure you have the polarity right...
i would use 12 gauge wires...(thicker wire, less resistance)
as for the balancing taps, it depends what type your balancer has....(by the way, what charger do you use?....if your charger uses tamiya connectors, you could use this so you dont need to solder on new connectors to the charger... http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...od=dh-gpmm3131 ...(thats if your charger has the tamiya male connector on it)
if you dont have an LVC (low voltage cutoff) for lipos, you should use one....what it does it when the lipo gets down to a certian voltage it will warn you that its getting too low by blocking the connection between the batt and esc....
