ib's
ep's
gp's
are all good batteries, definatlrey in side by side configuration
if you can get 14 cells

If you really can
get 2 2s lipos that discharge about 100a.

Here's a good cheap set of batteries: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXLZK6&P=ML
and i suggest re-soldering them in a sidexside configuration w/ this: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXKX33&P=7
as for a charger, this is undoubtedly the best for the money: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXRPP7&P=ML

Less resistance. More current can travel through at a faster rate. I melted my old Tamiya connector, that is when I switched to deans. Never get hot.
