Default bmaglinger's B4&GOLDPAN Tranny Rebuild Thread

Being excited about getting a b44, I decided to make a thread based on the original B4, that inspired the car to be made into 4WD.
Here's step one. get the tranny off the chassis with your allen wrench or allen driver if you have one.

Install the allen screws back into the tranny, now this is where I mess up and thread the screws all the way thorugh,
dont do this because the motor plate mounts to those screws.

Mount the tranny back to the chassis, remember it only fits in the slot in one direction.

You know what? I made a booboo, the wing mount actually fits near the motor mount on the tranny.

Put on the other wing mount on the other side. Just one screw holds the wing mount on the tranny, very nice.[8D]

Re-Install the slipper clutch. Notice I used a plastic wheel nut to adjust my slipper as I could not find the original slipper nut.[:'(]
This obviusly works.

Put my Trinity Monster Stock motor back in, man I wish they had stock at golfland.
I like mod, but stock is much easier for me to maintain. If you go mod just go brushless, because a comm lathe is expensive.[:'(]

Put my body back on even though it looks crummy for a 3 year old body.
You know what ive ran a 15T mod and 27 turn stocker and that's it. I heard and saw(A Factory Team version) it likes to ride wheelies with a 9T Double mod. Mine is a Team kit not factory team.

Yeah, I got the XXX4 tire and Losi rim for 2 dollars in a bargin bin at my LHS....lol..
I need the ribbed front tire to get back where I used to be. But this car might be better on a shelf.
I dont intend to race 2wD anytime soon. But this thread is just to help people out.

So what do you people think? Associated cars are so easy to work on.

Here Custom Tamiya, might do something custom to this buggy whenever I get it.
Mabe next week I'll have it, and I'll add to this thread.

Might even have to remove my stealth tranny off my B4, but maybe not til I take apart the rear end of the Goldpan.
