if you are new to the hobby, i wouldn't suggest a car w/ 2 motors.

Way too expensive, and alot easier to break.

I was about to tell you that you are wrong about them being easy to break, then I remembered my broken E-Savage in my spare room.
But then again I have broken my single motor cars as well and the dual motor system isn't that complex.

Maby not easier to brake, but I think the stampede is definetly easier to fix then a E-maxx.

hpi e-savage,traxxas e-maxx, tamiya twin detonator, clodbuster, and TXT-1.

owned them all other than the e-savage. saying dual motor cars break easier is BS, they break just as much as my other cars..

more expensive yeah to a point, because dual motored cars are usually bigger and has more parts, but come on.. this is hobby IS expensive to begin with...

I'd have to agree with mindwreck, and here's a list of the dual motored vehicles that I know of...

Twin Detonator
Twin Dagger
Double Blaze
Dual Hunter
Clodbuster
Super Clodbuster
TXT-1
E Maxx
E Savage
Twin Force (I think?)
Tamiya's tank series (not that it applies to most people)
And there's one by MRC, can't recall the name.

Two motors= twice the drivetrain parts.

Twice the drivetrain parts=Something is more likely to break.

My e-maxx used to take a royal beating before I made it a rock crawler. But i like my rustler better for bashing.

Two motors = an extra pinion gear. Thats the only extra drivetrain part bud.

There are two types of dual motor trucks. Some have one motor and drivetrain on each axle, like the clod, and some, like the emaxx and e-savage, have two motors on one spur gear and the drivetrain is the same as it would be with one motor.

In the example of a clod or maybe some other tamiya cars yeah that is true.

But the e-savage, e-maxx, txt, etc all drive the same spur gear so like the guy above said, there is no difference in parts except the motor itself and a pinion.
