How much do you want to spend?
Any FM radio would be better than AM, Synthasized FM better still. Then any DSS system would be better than FM
What do you need it to do for you?

I'm running my Mamba RC18b with the stock radio and never had a single issue, but I don't race and/or need anything fancy.

the spektrum is the ds2..

futaba makes the 3pk
a cheaper alternative is a hitec radio with a spektrum module
3pm is also a good radio

you can pick up a JR xs3 synth radio and rx brand new for like 100 bucks on ebay, i got one.... its a 200 radio in stores. i also second the spektrums you can pick a new one for 169.99 and alot less on ebay for a used one. but for a little more money get the futab fasst, it costs 189.99, you wont fimd to many of those on ebay though, but if your more budget minded get the xs3, its a great radio its FM and sythesized no need to change crystals.
