Nope. Novaks are great motors. If I had the money, I would have gotten one. not only that, but even if it was better, you already have a bl system. just go enjoy yours

novak is sensored, and therefore better for racing.

unsensored systems can cog at low throttle, and this can easily break the rear loose, and cause you to spin out of control. Not ideal for racing.

yeah if you are bashing, you wont really notice the differance. racing though the novak ir any other sensord system will be much smoother on the low end and give you better controll, though i do race with a MM i plan on getting a sensord system for racing soon.

for bashing and all out speed the mamba will kill the novak, 7700 can run with 8 cells, the 5.5 novak can only use 6 cells... but if your going to race stick with the novaks, sensored motors are best for racing.

had the 5.5, the mamba kills it. the cogging and other problems can often depend on your batteries and wireplacement.

Just search most internet RC Electric forums and there is always a very long thread about how to fix the Mamba and all of it's cogging issues.

Sensored is for racing!
Sensorless is for bashing!

For racing a 2wd stadium truck try the new Novak "Lite" series motor that is softer on the bottom. I recommend a 7.5L for a 2wd stadium truck and a 5.5L for a 4wd buggy!

Novak Rules!

If it is a the new Lite motor it have an L after the number like 6.5L. The 6.5R is the regular motor than has been out.
