Default Hotshot Re-Release - Tough Enough for Todays Power?

Hello. I am really thinking about picking up the new Hotshot re-release because it reminds me of when I was 13 and had fun with it. Of course, I want to push it to its limit in terms of power and put a fast motor on it.

Since this is a 20+ year old design - I was just curious if people think it can handle today's powerful motors / electronics? Was the chassis redesigned at all to be stronger? Can it stand up to todays newer buggies?

Please let me know your opinions. Thanks.
