some people don't like the way the v2 handles. The whole point of getting the academy is to save some money. If you have the money for a b44, then go for it.

Remember if you all decide to get a B44 read my build thread first. The car looks very tough, and the parts are very good quality.
I know a guy at the track that has an Sv2 pro, he said he's selling it on ebay and getting the B44 now.
You dont have to have the most popular car to win races though.

The SBV2 pro looks alright, but looks too similar to a Kyosho Lazer ZX5 than anything.
ID rather have aKyosho Lazer than the SbV2.
But since I have the B44, dont need either, I'll just stick with it.[8D]

Different colors maybe....still look the same to me.....
Most 4wD buggies like the Cyclone D4 looks identical to the B44.

Both buggies are good. Actually all the major 4wd buggies are pretty solid. I've haven't driven the Cyclone or Tamiya yet (so can't give good feedback on those), but the others: Academy, Kyosho, Losi, AE/Jconcepts are all pretty reliable. If I had one to settle on, I'd get the SBV2 pro... but that's just because I'm an Academy freak.

It's just not a comparison....it's all driving skill....I do know that much....
You can do good with anything you buy and run for years and years to come.
I just think most RC companies steal other's ideas and use it for themseleves.[&o]
