A heatsink will do fine. The heatsink fans dont tend to last long because of all the debris that gets caught in it and it chews up the fan blades.

You won't need a heat sink or fan with the Novak 10.5.... I run a 3.5 and I don't need one. Unless you are running some really ridiculously tall gearing that is the only thing I can think of... or using it in a heavy vehicle.

you are running 6 cell batts right? if you are, you should pick up a tempature guage and you shouldn't have to worry about a fan. it's not the esc that really depends on the heat but more of the batteries you are running and how many of them.

then you shouldn't even worry about it. i run 2 6 cell gp3300 packs in my stampede and it runs about 150 degrees. not bad at all.

I'm going to run a 10,000 mah lipo at 7.4 volts in a Exceed dynamite 4wd MT. Is it true these BL motors like to run, so gear them lower and they will run cooler?
